Sam has spent much of the past 25+ years focused on advisory transactions and capital raising for hospitality and real estate companies.  He moved from New York to San Francisco in 1996 to manage the Lodging, Gaming and Leisure investment banking group at Bank of America Securities (initially, Montgomery Securities). In this role, Sam oversaw a group that executed Lodging capital markets and M&A transactions totaling more than $3 billion.

In a principal role, Sam and two partners raised $96 million of private equity in 2004 to form Chileno Bay Development Partners LP, and he joined as a general partner.  Later, as CEO of Chileno Bay, Mr. Wilkins oversaw the successful entitlement and master planning of this luxury private resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Sam graduated with honors from Yale University and the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to working at Bank of America Securities, he practiced law at Goodwin Procter in Boston, and was an Associate Independent Counsel on the Iran-Contra investigations and prosecutions headed by Lawrence Walsh. A native of Atlanta, Sam and his family now live in San Rafael, CA, about 15 minutes north of San Francisco.
